Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching is my life passion. I am proud, honoured and excited to educate, empower and inspire each of my clients.
I’ve always been an adventurer at heart. When I was a child, I went to a small grade school and was very strongly encouraged to participate in all sports by my grade five teacher. Thanks to Mr. Maher, I played baseball, basketball and volleyball, ran the 4x100 meter dash, 1500 meter cross country, did high jump, long jump and hurdles.
Since then, I have always remained active, and for that I am truly thankful to him. In high school, I continued with baseball and Coach Kelly, who had a unique philosophy. Before each game, he would always say, “Girls, if you look good, you feel good, you play good.” Even though I questioned his grammar, this pep talk always remained with me. It just created certain traditions which seemed to have worked.
The most important role I have ever had in my life is being a mom. No amount of reading or studying could have prepared me for this glorious adventure. It’s a lot of work, but I would not change it for anything else in this world.
There truly is something magical about children. I think it’s a combination of their innocence, their desire to love unconditionally, their honesty, trust and loyalty which pulls on our heart strings. I’m sure by now you have concluded that I have a very special place in my heart for children.

Mom of Young Twins
My majors at University were Criminology and Ethics, Society & Law. Instead of becoming a lawyer, I chose to work with young offenders because I wanted to help them. I wanted to save them. I wanted their actions to be understood even if punishment was the “law.”
Besides being a mom and a probation officer, my experiences with children include teaching with the Toronto District Catholic School Board. I did “Emergency Unqualified Supply Teaching” for approximately two years. One of my future goals is to return working with the school system providing educational workshops about nutrition.
Most recently, I volunteered at Sick Kid’s Hospital in the Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Department. This experience reminded me to always be grateful in life. As a thank you to the amazing doctor I had the privilege of working with, I am making it a personal goal to write and educational recipe book. Look for “Healthy Tummies, Happy Children” in the near future.
For the moms or dads who are balancing careers with family life, I understand and can relate to the challenges. Please know that I can help you in this department. Healthy meal planning, prepping, pantry overhauls without any judgement are just an appointment away!!
I am the proud daughter of a Swiss trained chef and an extremely patient and spiritual mother. I was very fortunate to always eat very flavourful food growing up. As an added bonus, cooking, baking and creating recipes have always come natural to me.
I still remember as a young child finding recipes in magazines. I would make the meal or bake the dessert, but always tweaked the original recipe just slightly because I wanted to make them more healthy without wanting to lose the taste. I still do that to this day.
Shortly after, I graduated with honours from Canada's first School of Nutrition.
These accomplishments taught me that anything is possible if we are able to focus with determination and believe in ourselves.
Throughout my life, I have worked in various sectors in the hospitality industry including the airlines, cruise ships, hotels and restaurants. These experiences confirmed my love for working with people. I pride myself in providing excellent service in all that I do.
My educational background is in social sciences and obtaining an honours BA degree really developed and enhanced my love for learning, research and goal setting. All of these skills are shared with my clients.
A few years ago, a good friend inspired me to pursue my life long passions in a more serious manner. As a wife and mother with a full time job, I decided to attend College. Within the two year allotted time frame, I completed a certificate program in Health and Nutrition.
Throughout university, I was kick boxing, started weight training and used running in the forest as my stress releasing mechanisms. Approximately four years ago, I was inspired by yet another good friend to train with a goal, and so my love for obstacle course racing began.
Warrior Dash, Spartan and Tuff Mudder really put my strength, endurance and speed to the test. Having a positive mental attitude made all the difference. I share this with clients since it is important to have a healthy mind, body, spirit connection.
I’ve worked on and off in the fitness industry for the past two decades. In my twenties, I instructed “high impact aerobics” and “step” classes at the YMCA, Super Fitness and for various condominium complexes. Even when I moved to Mexico for a year, I still gravitated towards what I’ve always loved: teaching water aerobics, cooking and language classes.
Most recently, I instructed “Boot Camp” at a local fitness studio. Initially, I joined this facility as a member after having my twins.
With much dedication, determination and hard work, I was able to fit back into my pre-pregnancy clothes within six months. It truly was a pleasure and an honour to see the members’ bodies changing and to be featured in Pure FX’s website and flyers.
